Florida Leisure Pool & Spa was launched in 2005. After a decade of business in the spa manufacturer and product assembly markets, we began Florida Leisure Pool & Spa in our hometown of Gainesville - Go Gators! Our niche was pool and spa equipment repair and we quickly became known as the local experts in “fixing broken pools and hot tubs” by our neighbors across North Central Florida. From pumps to heaters to chlorinators to automation controls, homeowners and pool professionals alike would call on Florida Leisure to get their broken pools working again.

Excitingly, over the past 15 years, our services have steadily expanded to include “Everything Pool”, from new pool construction, pool renovation, equipment repair, weekly pool maintenance, electronic leak detection, and hot tub sales too. It’s exciting everyday around our shop, always bettering ourselves with the latest industry trainings and surrounding ourselves with rock star team members focused on providing that personal family-business white-glove treatment that each of our clients expect and deserve.

Jeremy Hine, CPC, CPO

Jeremy, owner of Florida Leisure Pool & Spa, grew up right here in Gainesville and is a Florida Gator at heart. He graduated from UF with a degree in Building Construction and has a talent for fixing everything he can get his hands on. From bicycles to appliances to pool tables to hot tubs to swimming pools, Jeremy’s “be good do good” philosophy has earned him much respect and regard as the local expert in the swimming pool trade. He is president of the FL Swimming Pool Association North Central Florida chapter. He enjoys spending his free time keeping busy as cub scout den leader, camping with his family, geocaching, caving, woodworking and being outdoors with his wife and son.

He enjoys spending his free time keeping busy as BSA Troop 125 assistant scoutmaster, kayaking with his family, geocaching, mountain biking, woodworking, and being outdoors with his wife and son. From pool repair to cleaning to remodeling and building pools too, Jeremy is always excited about where he will grow within this industry next.

With a lifetime of experience in the pool industry, Shawn joined the Florida Leisure team in 2021. A trowel is his tool of choice, watch out for his detailed finish and tile work. Outdoors is where you can find Shawn in his free time. Bike riding, fishing… if it’s outside that is where Shawn will be.
